Magdalena je izrazit dar ljubezni Jezusa Kristusa človeštvu. Ker je občutila njegovo ljubezen, še posebej pri prejemanju svetega obhajila, je bila pripravljena sodelovati pri njegovem trpljenju za odrešenje človeštva (prim. Kol 1,24). Na svojem telesu je podoživljala njegove krvave rane in skoraj petdeset let živela samo od svetega obhajila in neke »nenavadne nebeške jedi«. Že s trinajstim letom je dobila prave zelo boleče stigme, ki so bile vidne sedem let, nato pa so bile nevidne, a prav tako boleče. Ni podoživljala le Kristusovega trpljenja, ampak na mističen način tudi njegovo smrt in vstajenje. S svojimi mističnimi pojavi vzbuja v nas vero, upanje in ljubezen ter hvaležnost do Jezusa Kristusa, s svojimi junaškimi krepostmi pa nas vabi k posnemanju.
